For my youngest. It's a blank canvas at the moment so anything goes really. It's a smallish room. I can't decide what I want! Everything seems too babyish or not 'homey' enough.
I like john lewis stuff, my oldest has the robots theme from there but I'm a bit meh about their other ranges. Any ideas welcome!!

I find Pinterest is fantastic for ideas. You can make a moodboard of things you love and go from there. Do you want a theme for him?

My DS has a car and tractor themed room, it's perfect for him at the minute but isn't too babyish either. His curtains and bed sheets are shades of blue and he has vehicle wall stickers, canvases, and accessories. It's not from a particular range, his cushions and canvases are from Next and dunelm, his rug and lights are Ikea and everything else has been picked up along the way. It would be very easy to change it if we ever needed to.

I adore nature themed rooms.

My sons room is nautical theme I would attach picture but I don't know how lol I love his room is the most pleasant room in my whole house!!!i can highly recommend nautical theme.

I really like the nautical and nature idea. I love the tree wall stickers, I was thinking of wall paper but wall stickers is probably better if we ever wanted to change it

Maybe it's because I'm not used to it but I find Pinterest really complicated! Like I click on the picture and hundreds more come up! There were some lovely rooms though, especially for two boys with stickers saying things like "now I have a brother I'll always have a friend"
Yep I'll remind you of that when you're attempting to throttle each other :haha:

Love these! https://www.jomoval.com/ships-wall-stickers
Would white or pale blue walls be best? Need curtains now

^^ Pale blue! In Rory's old room we had a light blue grey and it was really lovely an tranquil. Also if you manage to go when there is a sale then The White Company do the most adorable nautical bed linen for cots and single beds.

I wasn't feeling the sports or animal themes..so we decided on a modern green and brown nursery.

That's lovely! I hadn't considered green walls before...

Lovely Idea!
We rent so haven't painted the walls, so they have stayed a cream. We have in Eric's room a Mothercare range with an animal circus theme. All colours are red yellow and orange. I stay away from blue as its a cold colour for a bedroom, and I dont like the colour anyway. X

You have to dig around a lot more for a boys room as almost everything is blue or a variation on a blue theme. For girls everything is very pretty and cosy.

Yep, it was a challenge for both of my boys to find anything! The Little Circus stuff we got has been discontinued, but these is what it is like anyway (taken off Google, no way does Erics cot look that tidy :haha: )

I love green, I got a bit sick of blue after DS1 had a blue nursery and I've been actively avoiding it ever since. DS1 has a dinosaur themed room but what I did was buy "plain" things from Next, so he has blue curtains (I now realise I said I was avoiding it but it's a dark blue lol) with a lovely green, red and blue rug and then he has ikea expedit shelving with coloured boxes, then he has dinosaur bedding and wall stickers. I figured it would be easy to mix it up of he got fed up of dinosaurs of if/when the boys share (we can't decorate).

Then DS2 has a neutral nursery set from Next which is cartoon woodland characters, beautiful colours lots of orange and a kind of bold but baby green, the characters are owls, birds and hedgehogs.

Edit: just seen you've found a theme, that's lovely I really like that, we're not allowed boats with DH being RAF, I wasn't even allowed to get a sailor suit for DS2's christening :haha:

I love this, especially the dark furniture, I always see white and pine not anything this dark.

DS has a nautical themed room, I really like it. It's easy to pick bits up when we want to add or change something and I like having blue/pale grey/white colours, they are relaxing.

It's so beautiful! And I love the room itself with the sloped ceiling and teeny window, it's like he's living in his own gingerbread house!
