Need some Advice

I am at a HCG level of 413.99 Which should be 4-5 weeks. The doctor didn't do any blood work today when I went, he just wrote me a prescription and sent me home. I had to request that I had some blood work done. I have been constipated since Monday. The medicine he prescribed me was latulose. I took only one table spoon of it tonight & I've been feeling some cramps. Now I've had a miscarriage last October, my levels were at 52.4 so I don't know how far along I was. I was really curious if these cramps could be from the medicine or if it could be another miscarriage.

It may well be the medicne working. I am constipated and the cramps get worse when I need the toilet.

Also, in early pregnancy the cramps are normal too remember - though terrifying when you have a history of loss.

Try and rest up and if you manage a bowel movement take note if the cramps ease so you'll know next time.

Thanks. I woke up without the cramping and the serious urge to need to use the restroom. Now I'm just feeling kinda sick lol. Which I find as a good thing, I wished I would stay this way so I at least know my baby is okay. So not to be nosy or anything but what where your HCG levels when you miscarried? Mine are 413.99 and I don't kow if that's good or not. Last time my body only made it to 50.4

This pregnancy I had cramps off and on up to 5 weeks along. I still get some when having a bowel movement or after sex. Both times I mc spotting started before cramps so cramps alone dont bother me. I take it as a good sign of baby growing.

When I mc in January I started spotting at 4 weeks 4days, went in and my hcg was a 2. Not even registered as pregnant anymore.

I've never actually miscarried, both of my losses were ectopics, the first time my levels were around 700, the next around 2020 - but the scenario of an ectopic is very different to a miscarriage. I think in any pregnancy hcg levels only mean a great deal if you can have a couple of tests days apart to see if they are doubling as the range in early pregnancy for appropriate levels varies massively.

I think it was just the medicine trying to get me back on track. I'm not cramping anymore. It's still hurting just a little but I'm sure I'll feel better once I get everything out! Or at least I hope lol

the cramps are more than likely from the lactulose (i am a RN)..... it is a stimulant which means it works by increasing the contractions of the intestine....which feel like cramps.

Thank you. The cramps have subsided now. I am a very small person so I feel everything that's going on. I am highly worried. But I think it's okay and I believe it will work out.

Thank you so much. Also is it normal to have some lower back pain with a stabbing pain in your lower abdomen?

i have an old back injury, so my back is sore..and i have heard many women report this during pregnancy. lots of pains, twinges, cramps are very normal in pregnancy - the baby is growing, your uterus is expanding. they are growing pains.
