i want to get my mum it for xmas.. im only 19 and shes has cancer that she will sadly die from

I really really like this idea, but do you think it would be really bad getting it her?

I think its a really lovely idea, i am sure it will give her opportunity to share things about her life she didnt know.

However, it depends on how she feels about it, i mean when she opens it i am sure that the first thought into her mind may be i am dying! so ou need to be careful. i bought my mum one and one for myself last year, my mum is also very poorly but although we know her illness will kill her she will hopefully have at least 10 years. so its kind of different.

If you decide not to give it to her for christmas i would say it may be worth still getting for her just to give for your sake, my mum hasnt finished hers but was nice being able to go through ours together and learn things we didnt know.

I hope this makes sense, i am so sorry to hear about your mum. much love x x x

I think its a lovely idea
Maybe you could talk to her before giving it her....like say i hope it doesn't upet you but....

thanks hun. im going to ask her how she would feel about doing one with me. she gets her scan results tomorrow so fingers x'd its shrunk abit =[

great idea, hope all goes well for her tomorrow! i am sure she would love her expereinces and memories to live on, so i am sure as long as she has has some warning will love it! :D

I think its a nice idea, you could maybe both fill it in together and talk about things? I hope the scan results bring some good news tomorrow x

I think its a lovely idea. So sorry about your mum having cancer by the way :(
Its the anniversary of my cousins death in a few weeks. She left 4 lovely children behind and I know she woulda loved something like this. Good luck with the results xx

just an update, Mums tumour hasnt shrunken anymore from last scan [which then it had shrunken alot!] but it hasnt grown/spread so thats good. There not concentrating on her tumour anymore, there worried about her weightloss [6-7stone] and because shes not keeping food down anymore, but they said this could be the cemo coming out her system.

I asked her about the book and she said she would sit down with me and do it =]

glad its not grown any, thanks for updating us. your clearly a very close and strong family. I hope she feels some relief and manages to put on some weight again! keep being strong, and hope the book is something that will be special to your children and grandchildren!
