I'm thinking about starting to use reusable nappies but I'm kind of clueless. I like the idea of the one size pockets, I've looked in the review thread but still got quite confused so don't know which is best lol. Has anyone got any advice or suggestions and just general infomation because I don't really know what I'm looking for? Also would I need separate ones for at night or are they really absorbent because Ella sleeps right through so it needs to last about 10 hours? Sorry if this has been asked a million times.

I found bumgenius to the the best one size pocket for ease of use but also love pop ins (the inserts snap in with these though).

They arent too expensive compared to some other ones either.

Here are some sites that you could have a look at:

https://www.cheeksandcherries.co.uk/

https://www.fill-your-pants.com/

https://milliesnappies.co.uk/

there are loads so that should start you off - just have a browse and get a feel for the different types. You could also try https://www.clothnappytree.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=56 (cloth nappy tree) - they sell preloved nappies that will already be fully absorbant (need to prewash nappies before use) and will be cheaper for just starting out.

If your budget is quite tight then check ebay as well. They do some cheap pockets from about £4-5 each that make good stash builders

Oh and there is also a cloth nappy thread in the sell section too :)

Is your lo a heavy wetter at night? We use fitteds at night (tots bots stretchies and a waterproof wrap over them) as A is quite a heavy wetter now.

Thanks! I really like the look of the BG. Are the cheap ebay ones any good? Yeh she is quite a heavy wetter.

The ebay ones aren't bad. We had some as spares but ended up selling as the inserts aren't great tbh. There are a few BG's on cloth nappy tree at the mo. You should check them out:

There are a few wonderoo V1s knocking about on there too. They are a bit similar to the cheapies shape wise ive found but they come with a double insert that can snap together. better for a heavy wetter and not expensive at all, they may be better than the cheapies for your lo and the mf inserts are fast drying which is better with the winter coming (unless you have a tumble dryer of course! :)):

For a heavy wetter at night you may be better off with fitteds. We use:

With a waterproof wrap or fleece wrap (more breathable) at night.

That's great thank you I'm interested in the wonderoos. I looked at some new ones and really liked them but thought as a starter were a bit expensive.

wonderoos are fab if you can get a good fit with them they last for quite a long time even on my toddler, i sold my last one now though as i have nappys that suit us better

I've bought some wonderoos so I'm hoping they suit us. I haven't even got any yet and I think I'm addicted.
Are there any others you would recommend because I want to get a few to try out. I'm going to try BG i think as well.

i use prefolds mainly at the moment but i have several fuzzibunz which i love caus the pocket is big enough to stuff a prefold in lol im planning to try them at night with a hemp booster with a mircrofibre insert when i get some Hemp ones , and i LOVE my Blueberry sidesnap pocket ( it is one of my toddlers ones though so not sure what the fit would be like on a little baby lol )

there are loads!!

BG's are our fave. the organic bg are probs out fave for long trips as they are super absorbant and issy bears... i warn you though issys are especially addictive! :haha:

both issys and bg organics are quite expensive though so your best trying preloved before buying new to make sure theyll suit you.

For runny BF poos i find pop ins by close parent are the best - never hsd a leak with my pop ins. And with pop ins there is a dream dri version which we have and they almost dry straight from the wash! :flower:

just to add you could put up a wanted thread in the nappy sell section listing all those you'd like to try and seee if someone is selling any?

Preloved nappies can save you a fortune! :flower:

yeah preloved can save you mega money ive spent £95 and i have 13 pocket's and about 35 prefolds with wraps lol

When I've got more of an idea of what I want I think I will put up a wanted thread. I'm sticking to preloved for now and if I find something I really like I might get it new.

I suggest getting an eBay cheapie to try out, I use them almost exclusively and they last 4/5 hours on my toddler. Plus they have over 50 cute patterns
