I was going to make a comment about the research on spellings of names too, not to judge but to make you aware... I'm glad that I didn't though as I feel that this part of your comment was completely uncalled for and a little over the top...

There is a user ignore button that you can make use of if you are feeling this way but to publicly "call someone out"...

I'm naming my little boy Trystin. but i also love Avery, Emory and Brighton
Aiden, Caiden, Brayden and Jaiden are NOT unusual! IMO they are overly used. i refuse to use them ever! but that's just me.

It's true that adults with unusual names/spellings are less likely to get job offers, etc, but I think this trend will change. There is a huge movement right now towards unique names so by the time our little ones are older, there likely won't be such a stigma against it.

I like the name Sebastian a lot and Brodie is the name of one of my favorite movie characters. Changing it to Sybastian would change the pronunciation a bit, but it sounding right to you is all that matters. We're using an old but unconventional name so we've gotten lots of comments but it has felt right for out baby since before he was even conceived.
