negative blood

have just found out today i have negative blood. i know i have to have a extra blood test and extra injections of anti bodys which i am fine with

i know this is my first baby but apparently there is a higher risk of miscarriage with your 2nd?

is this just if your blood mixes and your dont get the extra injections?

i read that as long as you have the injections your 2nd baby should be fine? i hope this is true

I am on my second pregnancy and have O negative blood...had some bleeding last night and was sent up to be checked and given my Anti D early. This stops the babys blood and your blood mixing!

If you have any bleeding or spotting just call them right away as they can give you he anti D early as I wasn't due to get it until 28 weeks. x

Find out what blood type the father has. Both hubby and I have A Negative blood, so I didn't get any injections or have any complications. Baby turned out to be A Negative too. The main concern is when the father has a positive type or if you're O, which could result in the baby having a positive blood type which your body could try to reject.

If you have the anti d injections even if your partner is positive blood group, you are at no higher risk of miscarriage.

I am B negative and I have had my first shot on Anti D as long as you get your shots of Anti D when needed (you also get one after baby is born if baby is a + blood group) you will be fine
The blood tests they do are to check your antibody levels as long as they are clear you are all good if you have any bumps to your bump or any bleeding you should call and you are fine as long as you get your Anti D shot within a 72 hour window

I was panicked when I first found out and then I did some research and I feel happier about it now
