finally got a referral from my GP for us to see a fertility specialist. first appointment is next month. scared, nervous and excited all at the same time. not really sure what to expect

Good luck. Don't expect things to move fast. x

oh i know things are going to be ultra slow. and we've been trying to conceive for 5 years now, so what's another 5? lol.

yay! good luck at your appointment! :flower:

Good luck! Hope everything goes well.

On a side note, I want to move to Australia! It's an 8mo wait over here!

Hi Hun. Just wanted to let you know that I had my first appointment in january and from that i was booked in for a lap and dye for April and after that my next appointment is 4 weeks after in may to discuss findings if any. If I'm not pregnant by then then I'm being referred for ivf which is only 18 weeks waiting. So it's not a long wait for everyone!!! It depends the area you live in and your doctor.
I thought it was going take ages. I feel very fortunate. Good luck. Xx

The 8 month wait sounds painful! Where abouts in Canada are you? I just got a referral to Vancouver and my appt is in 6 weeks thankfully.

I'm in Edmonton. It's ridiculous here. I've even had all the testing done through my gynecologist so there isn't anything left to be done! I'm hoping they over estimated (like I do with my patients, lol) and it'll be more of a 4 month wait.

For Calgary it's also a 3-6 month wait. I knew I shoulda moved to BC. :winkwink:

Hope your wait is shorter - actually hope you can just cancel your appt :) GL with the Clomid. I was stunned to get the appt so fast so I'm glad I picked Vancouver (Victoria is closer and was also offered as an option) They said they would send requisitions for more tests in the mail. Annoyed they have not arrived yet as tomorrow is CD3.

I don't know why my gyno didn't do day 3 bloods. He did do a HSG and day 21 pg test so just concluded its unexplained.

Good luck!! Know how your feeling i Have my first appointment this friday :) x
