Nesting....how long before.....

Labour?
I never really nested with my daughter but today I'm going mad! It's like a different person has taken over me and controls my body cleaning. And all the energy!!!
I have been having painful braxton hicks and read that nesting can be a (early) sign of labour.
How long before labour did you have it?
