Dd is 3 and since weaning has eaten like a bird!:wacko:she lives off bread, fruit, beans and pasta!wont touch meat or veg. Extreme small amounts too.she only eats these things when we ask her to,she has never once said she's hungry. Its a battle every time to get her to eat and it's getting me down:cry:. Other family members lo eat so well and it upsets me to see her refusing food all the time.Shes a happy child who is always on the go,rarely chills out on the sofa and I just think to myself -where does she get all her energy from....fresh air?
Am I the only one who's dear lo never wants to eat?,,,,coz its puzzling me:wacko:....btw,this is no faze she's been the same since weaning!
Thanks to all :flower:xx

Wow...I could have written your post! You're not alone. DD is 4 now and still the same :haha: I do get days where it gets me upset but generally ive learnt to accept this is how she is. What else can I do now? I have tried EVERYTHING. She is also super active, bless her. Big hugs to you though :hugs:

My son who is almost 3 is exactly the same. He's a real picker. He eats very little and is never hungry yet he is always on the go. His weight is fine as I got him weighed recently due to the worry that he doesn't eat. HVs were like "are u sure he doesn't eat? As he is gaining just fine" so I figured I'd stop worrying and let him get on with it. Food is offered, that's my part done. He eats what he needs.

Sorry no real advice, just wanted to let u know you're not alone. X

Exactly as this poster says. My son at three is the same, perfect health just eats very little. We've gotten to the point where there is something he can graze on out at all times. It's not ideal but he's happy and in great shape so mum and dad just go with it.

Thankyou so much for your replies! Today was a nightmare!!!.....
Breakfast- 3 mouthfuls of Rice Krispies
Lunch- piece of toast just butter
Tea- 4 mouthfuls of quorn spag Bol
Strawberries an grapes
Milk before bed

She's 3 surely this isn't enough for her? But all the above I literally had to ask her to eat any of it except the fruit!

To be really honest...that's better than my son does on a normal day. I spoke to his doctor and she said they don't advocate supplements, so just keep encouraging them to eat. So we go with that, hopefully it wont be for long.

You little one knows her appetite and won't starve herself. Try not to worry too much, but if you are then speak to the gp or HV for some advice on what u can do hun. X

I have a poor eater too, although a bit younger than yours at not yet 2. Ciara just does not stop to eat! My mum always says "She just hasn't got time to eat." It worries me constantly but she has never yet lost weight and is better than she was.
