New & a bit confused!

Hi everyone, I took a pregnancy test yesterday morning and got a positive .. I wasn't really expecting it, so O ran off and got some more, and got another positive. Then in the evening I took another one and it was negative. I'm only a day late for my period .. I don't know what made me test, I just had this strange feeling that I should.
Is it likely that I'm pregnant? Also, I'm feeling a bit odd - slight cramps, and really bloated, and also I am incredibly chilly!! Is this normal?

i got no idea what's normal or not, although i've never heard of being cold as a sign of pregnancy hun!
but i just wanted to say that i was exactly the same when i found out, i didn't know what made me test, i just had a feeling i ought to!
we cant tell you whether you're preggers or not, the only way you can find out for sure is to wait a couple days and test again or go to docs or family planning and get them to test, blood and wee!
i hope you get the result you want hun

EDIT: also first morning wee is best when testing so it might just be that by the evening your pee didnt have enough of the hormone [i forget what its called] to show up as positive on the test

It does sound like you're pregnant though! What most likely happened was the hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), which is what home pregnancy tests test for, in your urine is at it's highest in the morning. So you could take 2 tests in the morning and them be positive and then take one later and it become negative. But you definitely had 2 positive tests! Schedule an appointment with your doctor and they can do a pregnancy blood test which is more accurate! Congratulations!

I, of course, can't say for sure whether you're pregnant or not, but you did have 2 positive tests, and that's pretty big! I'd either wait a day or two and test a couple more times in the morning, or I'd just go ahead and have blood work done. Keep us updated!

It does sound like you could be pregnant. The HcG in your urine is strongest in the morning which may have resulted in the two positives then and then a negative in the evening.

All I can say is wait a day or two more, if your period still doesn't show then take another few test. Alternatively go to your docs and get a blood test which is more accurate.

The first pregnancy test I took was a faint positive, the second was even fainter (taken in the evening a couple days later), I panicked and thought I wasn't pregnant afterall, but I was!

I agree with what the other girls have said, wait a couple more days & test again in the morning, and if you are still unsure of the test go doctors for a blood test. x

If your period is only a day or so late its possible to not even get a positive, so if you did get 2 positives your most likely pregnant. One false negative is a LOT more common then 2 false positives, test again in the morning because the hormones are highest then (with the first pee that you take.)

It defo sounds like your pregnant, its unlikely to get a false positive and very unlikely to get two false positives. I was two weeks late when i decided to test (i was 6 weeks pregnant) now 11 weeks and i still don't think its properly sunk in yet! Congratulations though xx
