Hello!
I do have a real name, but I think I'll go by "Duckular" or "Duck" on here that way, I get to feel like a secret agent.
I'm 25 and live in the West Midlands with my lovely husband, who's 30. We've been married for almost 3 years, but together for over 10!
As for why I'm here...
I'd been feeling a bit off (sore boobs, very tired, cramps) for about a week, but somehow I didn't put two and two together. Then on Tuesday night I realised my period was late and started to wonder.
I took a test yesterday to put my mind at rest (as I have a boozy work event tonight), firmly expecting it to be negative. Lo and behold, it was very obviously positive! Cue me taking another four tests "just in case". Hah! All of them are ridiculously clear positives.
Based on my last period, I think I'm about 4 weeks pregnant, so it's still very early days.
I've always been very career focused rather than family focused, so it's safe to say I'm quite nervous, but also excited. Mr Duck is delighted: he's a nursery nurse and has wanted to start a family for ages.
You'll probaby see me around, asking all manner of silly questions.
So yes. Hello and nice to meet you!
