Aloha,
I am an almost 40 year old, who has been trying to have a baby for about 8 years now.

I had the first 2 with no problems, but I was 24 and 25.

I am overweight and about to undergo the gastric sleeve.

Last year I had a giant ovarian cyst......not a 5 cm mass....it was 30 cm and held 4 liters of fluid. I know because I had surgery to remove it, along with my left ovary and tube. :(

I believe my sons came from the right....but I am still worried. My periods are still not normal and I gained a little weight from the stress.

I don't know what to do or think or where to start anymore.

I should add that the cyst came when I took clomid, first time.

I had it prior, I think the clomid make it out of control. I dont want to take it again because I dont want to loose the other side. I always had cysts, but little ones, like 8 cm and 5 cm. I had a 5 cm on the right at surgery time too.

Gosh, I am sorry for all you are going through. I don't really know what to advise you to be honest but didn't want to read and run. I guess at this point you need to get the gastric surgery done, and recover from that, then seek medical opinion on your best chances for pregnancy. It is entirely possible with just one tube, but maybe a bit harder. If clomid is not an option, there are other things they can do.

Good luck
