Hi ladies,

I was here a little while back, had a MC at 12 weeks, but am very glad to be back here again! Just got my BFP, and have my fingers & toes crossed this is my sticky bean! Just wanted to say hello to everyone out there!!!! :) Looking forward to being in this community again and following through with everyone until the end of the 3rd trimester and beyond!

Congratulations, Darling!!!! That is amazing news!

My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 11 weeks and 5 days pregnant. Apparently it was a missed miscarriage. Through this entire first trimester, I was terrified I would lose the baby, but I just had an ultrasound recently and we saw the baby moving and his or her little heart beating so strong and healthy! I'm heading into my second trimester soon, so there's definitely hope! I'm sure this pregnancy will give you a big, healthy baby!!!

Congrats to you!!!! :happydance: I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for all of us to have sticky beans!! :hugs:
:dust:

LadyM, so very sorry for your loss :( It's such a scary and terrible thing to have a loss.

I'm so happy you got to see the heartbeat! I cannot WAIT to get to that point, I'm so excited for that to happen. Will be a little bit on pins and needles until that point, but it will be worth it in the end, just going to think positive !!!!

Congratulations and WELCOME!!

I'm sorry about your previous loss. ((HUGS))

Here's to a H&H nine months to you!!

So sorry about the loss, but so YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY for the new baby!! Lots of sticky dust for you and for all of us. :) :)

Thanks! You will be at that point before you know it. I found this pregnancy went soo slow until we had our first ultrasound, but after that, the first trimester has just passed us by so quickly!
It also might help to know that once you see the heartbeat after 8 and a half weeks, you have a 98% chance of carrying that baby full term. Also, since with each pregnancy you have a 20% chance (or so) of miscarriage, that means most people only have a 5% chance of having 2 miscarriages in a row. My midwife told me that :)

Thanks so much LadyM! That info is SUCH a relief to know! I've never heard any other statistics on it from anywhere, so that is definitely nice to hear. Unfortunately, my Dr doesn't do appointments until 12 weeks, and then I don't get an ultrasound until around 16 weeks I believe? (I could be wrong on that part though) So unless I pay for a private ultrasound I won't be getting to see anything for quite some time. I might just ante up the cash and do it though around the 12 week mark, to see the heartbeat and everything :)

I always find statistics comforting too.
Mine normally doesn't do ultrasounds until the 12 week nuchal scan, but I called them and told them I was really worried about miscarriage and it was affecting my stress levels. They were nice enough to humour me and send me for an ultrasound. If you tell them how you're feeling, they might be understanding. My midwife wasn't so much, but my family doctor was.
After my nuchal scan (which I have to book for sometime before 13 weeks and 6 days), I won't have another ultrasound until 18 weeks. I think it's going to kill me to wait that long to find out the sex of the baby! lol
