new here, and scared!

Hey . . I just found out yesterday that im pregnant and im absolutely terrified! I am 19, have been with my boyfriend a year and was on the pill after coming off the contraceptive injection in October. I havent had a period in almost 5 months, so I really wasnt expecting this. I took a test 8 weeks ago that was negative but I just had a feeling so I took two yesterday and both were positive.

Dont really know where to go from here.. Im unemployed, looking or a job.. Boyfriend works. We were in the process of saving a deposit up for a place to live and are currently staying in a boxroom at my grandmothers until we have enough to move out. Not in a geat situation, stressed and just needed somewhere to have a bit of rant to!

Hey! Well despite the stress that I think almost all of us can understand, congrats on your little one! I'm Emma, I'm 16 .. 22 weeks along with my little man- my first.
When I first found out I was on the pill and totally not expecting this all to happen. It was really hard to tell everybody- especially my parents. I still haven't told other family members.

I don't work either, I'm just trying to finish high school. My boyfriend works full time and is out of school, but that doesn't take all the stress away. It's been hard but we're both tons happier now that we've told more people and gotten used to the fact that we're having a baby- and gotten excited! It can be really scary but the gift of a baby can sometimes turn out to be the most amazing thing- even if it appears to be unexpected and super stressful at first.

Baby and Bump is the perfect place to post about everything and anything you might be worried about, want advice on or even if you just want to rant or get something off your chest! Everybody's really nice and accepting- you'll never be judged or looked down on, and everybody's really open minded.

Thanks.. Maybe when I tell people, i'll feel a little better. At the moment it just doesnt feel real! Like someone is playing a trick on me lol.. Silly of me really because I know it is.. Guess I just wanted to have a job and somewhere to live before I brought a baby into the world!

Theres no question of not keeping it If I got pregnant whilst on the pill after not having a period for 5 months then it was just meant to be, I guess. Hopefullu ill get to a stage where im less shocked and stressed soon, and learn to be happy about it

I'm Laura, 21, mummy to a 3 year old little girl, a 2 year old little boy and 34weeks with our third.

Sit down, and work things out with your partner. Since you are early pregnancy if you try to get a job soon, then you won't have to tell them you are pregnant when interviewing, so keep on trying to get a job. That will allow you to save up quicker. Get yourself to a doctor to get th ball rolling with the pregnancy and take it one step at a time.

Im Lisa, also 19, and im 36 weeks
I understand its hard not to stress bout almost everything once your pregnant, but you gotta really try not to cuz stressing is no good to you or your baby.
Get to the drs and find out how far along you are, you are still early on and youve got time to figure everything out, but jus remember everything will work out n god wont give you more then you can handle.
Like Emma said babyandbump is a great place to talk about anythinggg! Especially the teen pregnancy forums, the girls here are very helpful and understanding!

I totally understand! That's exactly how I felt as well... honestly, it took me growing my bump and feeling my little man kick before it felt real- also the 20week ultrasound where he actually had a face and looked like a little person was definitely a big reality shocker for me (and my boyfriend!)

I feel the same way about my baby being meant to be. I was on the pill and we even used condoms half the time, so obviously the little guy was ready to be welcomed into the world!

Anyways, congrats on your pregnancy and if you ever want somebody to rant with/talk to I'm always here and I check this site almost every day haha.
