New Here - My story so far

Hi All

Been reading your posts for the last week or so now and ready to join in.

I am currently nearly 10 weeks and not with FOB. I met him whilst on the rebound from my ex and had a fling for a couple of weeks which fizzled out.

So I was quite shocked to find myself single and pregnant. FOB has blown hot and cold from the start, first he wanted me to get rid, now he has come around to the idea. He is already seeing someone else, (not that I want to be with him like that), I just want him to be involved in babies life.

Finding this all really hard so far and think you all deserve medals for doing this on your own.

No doubt I will be asking for your help with lots of things over the coming months.

I've been on my own since finding out I was pregnant as well. You'll be fine - it'll be tough but you'll be fine.

To be honest I cant believe how tough it is already and barely even got started yet.

I know I will cope because I have to. But everything from pregnancy books describing how your partner can help, to at a scan having to explain why your friend is there, not knowing the FOB's date of birth for your notes, people saying congratulations and then asking about the FOB etc etc etc.

Mostly it makes me sad as I never meant to be in this position, dont get me wrong I am happy to be pregnant.

Hoping that FOB will want to be as involved as he says he does, but expecting him to do a runner at any moment.

Think its the uncertaintly of everything and having to rely on other people, its a scary time. Trying to make it a positive one, but its hard when you have nobody to talk to.

Awww im sure you will be fine Im going through the same hes with someone else and doesnt want anything to do with the pregnacy I had first appt with midwife last week and burst out crying when she asked about the dad silly i know because its his loss!! I havent told anyone just yet cos like you ppl asking about fob etc.. Hopefully he will get involved with u and bump and help out as much as he can.
