Hi everyone, I'm new here. I have been a lurker for a little while but now have decided to become social and make new friends. My DH and I have been TTC for exactly one year and I just received my first BFP 4/4 only to start heavily bleeding and cramping a few hours later. My test was a BFN by 4/6. As sad as I am about a chemical pregnancy part of me is happy that sperm finally met egg and I am actually capable of having a BFP! Thanks for taking the time for stopping to read my story and I look forward to interacting with you :hi:

Welcome! I know your pain for the most part. I am in my 19th month TTC #1. I got my first, solid :bfp: in December which was confirmed with blood work and came as a total surprise. Only to go into my next HCG test and find out that I wasn't doubling like I was supposed to and was going to lose it. It ended up being ectopic and I had to abort.

But, same as you, atleast I know that I CAN get pregnant and makes it a little easier to keep TTC.

Have you considered going to a reproductive endocrinologist yet? Since you are past the 1 year mark, you can see them and they can help you get pregnant again :)

Thank you for your kind reply. I'm from a fairly rural area and the closest RE is over two hours away, so I had an initial visit with OBGYN who wasn't the most helpful... But I do plan on at least having her do some basic lab work next cycle.

Well, and I find with docs in general, if one isn't willing to help you exactly how you want, another will. I am a firm believer in shopping for docs. So, hopefully you could find another OBGYN who might be willing to help you out! O:

And if they find an issue that might need work then maybe you can go visit the RE.

Hi FarmWife! I'm sorry to hear about your CP, but it sounds like you're keeping a positive attitude moving forward. :) I'm about to start cycle 9 of TTC, so not quite a year yet but still a LONG time for someone who thought it would happen much sooner! I hope you enjoy hanging out here, there are so many supportive women to talk to!
