Hi I'm new here (first post eek!) and we just decided to start trying for a baby. I'm 40 (will be 41 in September) and he is 31.

He started taking a vitamin regimine last week to help sperm production, quality, etc.

I started taking vitamins on Sunday, here is what I am taking.
1tsp Maca Root
2 l-arginine twice a day (4 total)
1 royal jelly
1 ubiquinol
1 zinc

We also started using pre-seed on Sunday 8-9 in hopes of me ovulating soon.

My question is this, the first day of my last period was 7/27/15 and lasted for 6 days.

Today I started bleeding again (not heavy but it's almost like I normally do when I start my cycle) and I'm a little worried. Is this normal with the supplements I'm taking???

TIA ~ Jodi

Welcome & good luck to you! I think it would be unusual for these supplements to make you bleed. The only one perhaps with that sort of power would maybe be the maca since it is an adaptogen & can help to regulate hormones. (Another similar to is it Agnus Castus/Chasteberry.)

In addition to all these, you are taking a prenatal multivitamin with extra folic acid, right? If not, add that in for sure! The ones you are on are all good. There are many others that some find useful; however, it gets overwhelming and expensive. You're off to a good start!

Not sure what your normal schedule length is but you could have ovulated that day. the 13th would have you have CD 16. Some women (and it can change cycle to cycle) bleed a little bit when the egg is released. I think it's rare but that could be it.

I honestly know little about supplements. So I am not sure but it seems unlikely they would make you bleed.

Those are all really good. I've also heard good things about Black Cohosh 120mg, DHEA 10 mg, and Vitamin D3-60,000 mg.

A 42 year old had a natural BFP using these a couple years ago. Search "40 year Old Natural BFP" by Notrusty

I started taking conception vitamins when we were TTC and got similar mid-cycle spotting. I got quite dehydrated and my cycle also got shorter too. I was a bit worried about messing up my cycle, so I stopped taking the branded ones and tried an own-brand version.

I've just had a look, and the ingredients in the branded version (missing from the cheaper one) are:

L'arginine
Inositol
N-Acetyl Cysteine
