Hi

I have just started clomid and i am just looking for some encouraging stories and people that are going through the same thing. I have PCOS so i take metformin. I am going for a progesterone blood test on monday nervous to know if i ovulated or not.. if not think i'll cry..

Oh anyone else sick of being told to remain positive and it will happen one day?

Oh honey...we are all sick of being told that. Of course for those that conceive easily that's all it takes is a nice big exhale and then comes the baby.

Unfortunately while I did I think 9 rounds of clomid, no luck. So we're taking a break from the docs and meds and trying it the old fashion way with God.

How long have you been ttc?

MrsVaughan - Don't lose hope! I think we are all tired of hearing to stay positive or just relax. But, don't lose hope! Even if you aren't ovulating, there are things a fertility specialist can do to help. You can do Clomid or other fertility drugs to help your body along.

Hey Mrs v :hi:
Welcome! I too have pcos and am on clomid. there is a success stories thread, it works for lots of women.
Am also sick of people telling me to relax, the nurse at my gp surgery suggested we get a dog! :grr:
Here if you want to chat. good luck with the test tomorrow Xx

Wow...a dog...idiot. Well I have three dogs...let me see, do I feel like I have three kids and don't feel the need to have children anymore...NOPE! Some people...

i know...i was fuming! she said "buy a dog, thats what i did. the next month i fell pregnant".
i looked at her and then calmly said, "do you really believe that was a help?!" silly cow.

Well i have had my results back and... I ovulated!! The FS said to me on the phone "cor yeah you've definitely ovulated and from your numbers expect it was from both follicles".. right well i hae til the 6th of june to pass time until i do a pregnancy test, i do feel hopeful..

Thanks ladies.. ineedaseed i have also done the whole pet route with getting a cat and yeah its good practice as i have to be on top of things as he is strictly a house cat but no way has it taken my yearning for a baby, these people!! Nodoubt, good that you have a faith to get you through these times, i have been trying just over a year now..

what are your stories ladies?

baby dust, sticky vibes and all that jazz x

thats great news mrs v, everything crossed for your test date. keep us updated!

Yay for the big O...in our world, lol! Now I can't wait for your test date...fxd!

AFM, I have pcos and an underactive thyroid. Hubby has low sperm count, but great everything else. 9 rounds of clomid, 2 iuis, and 22 cycles. Finally decided on a break after I had a huge breakdown, and yes, my faith is definately carrying me through. It's actually what pushed me into this break. I thought God wanted me to take my hands off of it, and after talking with the hubby, he said he felt the same way so there was my confirmation. Now I'm just waiting on my natural God given bfp!

hey! i have done clomid and then clomid and IUI, i found taking all the pills very stressful, and i became VERY emotional, im taking a break until Jan, Hubbys insurance will be better, for now im trying insulite, its for PCOS, and praying that works, :dust:

My story - I have PCOS with really long cycles (about 90 days now) hubby has azoospermia (his body doesn't produce sperm). He had a successful TESE operation where they were able to find a very few sperm surgically. Now we're getting ready to start an IVF cycle as that is our only option for a biological child.

Both stories are very touching and puts my scenario into perspective.. I also have pcos with long cycles but the fact i ovulated should mean my cycle will be shorter this month, i think? nodoubt i can see why your taking a break and most people say that is when it happens for them..

i am wondering how to deal with if its a bfn.. i have had countless but it never gets easier to see them and now i know i did ovulate and two eggs i can see myself being quite upset..

i hope everyones journey is going in the direction they want

xx

Well i tested today like my fs said and it was a BFN!! absolutely devastated, you would think i'd be used to this by now.. i was quite hopeful as i knew i had ovulated, two eggs at that, my progesterone was brilliant and couple of days ago had something resembling a IB but all hopes were dashed this afternoon.. onwards and upwards i guess =/

Sorry about the bfn...I'm like that too, whenever I try something new I'm devastated by the fact that it didn't work out. Try not to be too discouraged though, you never know until af shows. And if she does then you'll just try again and hopefully the next time is the last time.
