I forgot to post this but last Wednesday I started my new job:happydance::happydance: I work 2 days a week Wednesday and Thursday minding 2 little boys, one is 1 today :happydance: and the other is 3.5 years. So far it has been great but the baby has never been away from his parents so he is taking it a bit hard in the morning but once his big brother comes home from nursery he is fine. I hope it goes well for me, at the moment I am really, really enjoying been at home with Dec but bringing in a wage at the same time:happydance:

Aww well done that sounds the perfect job! I thought about child minding but when I looked into it there seemed a lot of red tape? Congratulations again hun :hugs: x

Woohoo :happydance:

Yeah I wanted to but it's sooooooo hard to get into, isn't it?

That sounds like such a nice job! Being able to spend time with your lo and also give him play with other kids. I know a lot of mums who are thinking of getting into this as they don't want to go back to work!

have fun! babysitting is fun, me and Jasmine look after a couple little boys sometimes too.

Oh thats great! I haven't gotten a job yet because I dont want to leave Colton
I need to though, and thought about babysitting. My aunt even offered her daughter (instead of sending her to daycare), but Colton was only like 8mo old then, her daughter is only 14-15 months old and I just felt it would be alot for me. :dohh: I'm a big wussy!

Not hard at all, they have to do a lot of checks, like police checks, social services checks, they contact your doctor to see if you are stable enough (dont know how I passed that one  ) they contact your HV (if you have one) They have to pass your house with all sorts of checks, they like you to have first aid training and last but not least social services have to pass you. Then after all that they check you every 12 months to update your reg.

But if you didnt mind all that it really is soooooooo easy, you have to do a 6-8 week course, which involves a lot of different things like, at risk children, learning to play and doing all your own paper work ie insurance and taxes.
