New. Looking for advice.

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forums and looking for advice.

My partner and I have been TTC for three months now. This month, my period is currently 4-5 days late. I have tenderness around my nipples and my areolas seem to be darker. Despite this, I've had two negative first response pregnancy tests.

What gives? Could my period just be late and causing these symptoms? I can't imagine that I've tested too soon because I took my previous test three days before my period was due, then I tested again today after my period was several days late.

Any advice? Could I still have tested too soon and may be pregnant? Should I wait it out? I was heartbroken to read the negative result after thinking this was definitely it.

I should also mention that I've had some light cramping today and yesterday. Two days ago I awoke to cramping that felt similar to period cramps, but no period.

Hi Kayelle

Do you know when you ovulated at all? I know not everyone uses Ovulation tests, but that can help confirm if it was too early to test.
I find this site really helpful and useful - the countdown to pregnancy.

Hopefully the witch stays away as your signs sound very good. I know how you feel with the setting yourself up only to see a bfn.

I take it your period is normally regular? All you can do is wait it out though I'm afraid test again in a couple of days, if af still hasn't arrived maybe you can ring your Gp for some advice (I'm not sure if they will do blood tests this early or not!)
