Not sure if this is the right place :S

Anyway!
As its September they've now introduced the new Meningitis Jab on the NHS for 2 month, 4 month and 12 month jabs.
My daughter was born 27th May so has already had her 2 month jabs. So will she just miss one out or get an extra one before her 4 month ones or what?
Any information anyone knows?

I was told that any baby born after 1st may will get the jab but my DD will get it with her 12 month jabs so I assume yours will get it at the 4 month jab appointment and just miss one. I find it confusing as well as I don't know if this makes them fully covered.

My daughter was also born the the 27th May! ...I was also wondering this. Hopefully it's right and they will get it when they have the next lot at 4 months.

My son was born 26/6 and just missed the start. Nurse said he will have them at 3 months and 4 months. So guess the May ones will only have 1 at 4 months.

They will get a booster at 12 months also.

My daughter was born in April so I guess this means she won't get it at all?

My son was born 10th may and has his 16 week jabs today, the surgery rang this morning and he is getting his first dose today. We have to bring calpol to give him in the waiting room before we go in and then four hours later and again after that as lots of babies are getting 2-3 days high temperature with it.
I would have thought your LO would get it with the next lot of jabs.

Were waiting for her letter for the 16 week jabs so guessing it'll say it in there :)

Well he had the jab at 2:30, half hour late as they had to wait for a dr to sign off on the MenB, apparently he is the first baby at our surgery to have it.

Really glad he had the calpol before hand as he does have a temperature but it's not too high. The info leaflet says the fever peaks at 6 hours after so hopefully it won't get worse and calpol will keep it under control. We were told to make sure he gets the third dose of calpol even if we have to wake him.

Not too sure if the temperature is just due to the MenB as he also had a fever after 8 week jabs and had to have calpol then too. Overall he doesn't seem any worse than after his 8 week jabs and was babbling away and playing normally this evening just a little crankier than usual so if your LO was ok after them then I'm sure she will be fine.

The nurse also told us that his next dose will be at 12 months so he will only get two doses, hope he will be just as well protected.

My baby had injection on Monday. First in docs to have it. Gave calpol at the time and6 hours after. Then at bed. He was a little hot at one point but absolutely fine.

DS is 11 weeks. He had his 2 month infections today and he got the new MenB immunisation. HV told me he was first in our little town to get it and also the youngest baby she's heard of having it so far. She said older babies had received it at their 4/6 month appointments.

DS's leg swelled instantly (he had the injection at 9:30am today and is still very swollen now at 11pm), and we were also given calpol as they expect a high fever. He has been warm, but not worryingly.
