Hello, I'm Lesley

I am waiting to try in December/January with the hope to be pregnant by mid March. This isn't by choice I'm currently on Zoladex for endometriosis and this puts the body into a psuedo menopause so I can't get pregnant until 12 weeks after my final implant which is mid-end of September.

I'm a planner, I have 2013 2014 2015 and 2016 diarys with when I want to conceive my first then have baby and when to start ttc baby number 2.

I'm quite surprised that I'm going to be trying so soon because my other half wanted to wait until we moved but we are now on our 3rd delay in moving house and after telling my partner about my concerns regarding my health one day he did a complete u turn and text me while I was at work saying that when I'm ready we can try. Needless to say the smile on my face that day was huuuuge

I sort of need a bit of help though, as I've said I have endometriosis and I'm aware that this can cause problems in conceiving however my symptoms also point to adenomyosis which is the same as endo but in the lining on the uterus and I've heard that this can cause a very late miscarriage for two reasons, one being if it flares it can cause a contraction of the uterus and cause miscarriage and the other is because as adeno progresses it can cause damage to the uterus and prevent it from stretching past a certain point and therefore cannot grow with the baby causing a miscarriage....does anyone know if these are true, there is such a small amount of information out there.

I also have fibromyalgia and ehlers-danlos hypermobility, I have heard that these can cause several problems during pregnancy such as premature labour, problems with epidural, joints worsening and a very quick progressing labour. Also heard that these can cause problems with breastfeeding. There isn't much information out there and doctors understand so little and seem to dismiss the hypermobility in me and focus on fibromyalgia. I have heard all of these things on the grapevine. Doesn anyone here have any advice for me?

Sorry this is so long I tend to ramble on lol

Hi Lesley,

I'm so sorry for all that is going on in your pre-TTC world :( I wish I could offer you some better advice, but have you talked to a high-risk OBGYN? They may be your best bet, as they may have treated pregnant women with these same disorders. They could likely at least answer your questions, if not examine you themselves. My heart goes out to you! <3 We're all here for you anytime! :)

to be honest i dont think they see it as a problem but thats because they dont really understand any of the things i have got. I dont think any of them will see them as a problem or put me at high risk, i will tell them about my worries but will no doubt get told not to worry
