Hi,
I'm not really sure what I want from posting this, advice maybe from anyone in the same boat?
My story goes like this, a year and a half ago me and my husband started trying, well nothing has happened at all so i go to the doctors who just told me to keep going with it. Well we decided there must be some problem, I mean we're young it should happen straight away right? I finally get some blood test which show I have PCOS but no one explains this to me at all. I went to the doctors today to ask for more info and he tells me my tests don't show PCOS! confused.com!!! I am now having my blood tested for 3 months to check my ovulation and my OH is having a sperm test, well what I'd like to know is what next? how long do we wait for an appt at a special clinic? what will they do?

hi - im not sure about where you live but were I live the 1st appointment with the FS took about 5/6 months (where the tested DH sperm again and I got some bloods done), the 2nd appointment too 6/7 months and I just went back to DR last week to request another FS appointment so Im expecting that to be 3-6months again - its a bit of a nightmare all this waiting - not getting any younger if you know what I mean.

I was the same with the PCOS - i had a scan done and blood tests done back in 2005 and the results were that I had some cysts on ovaries but bloods were fine so wasnt really conclusive of PCOS - so i dont really know to this day if I have it or not (prob do cos its taking me forever to concieve). Why dont DR's explains these things to people better - they suck sometimes!

Hi Ned - Thanks to choose and book on the NHS if you need to see a f/s your gp will advise which clinic can see you quickest and then you can pick a date from there...Obviously if you have any clinics that are really really good the wait will be longer.
I too had bloods that showed nothing but after an internal scan it showed I had pcos....So that really was confused.com hahaha After that scan I had to have a hsg to see if my tubes were ckear before they would isse clomid. Currently awaiting ov on month 3 of clomid!

thanks! god 5/6 months!! glad i have got the ball rolling then! I get so fed up with the contradictory doctors I think i will just keep pestering them until they get so fed up they help me out ha ha.
