New to the Forum! Has anyone done a laproscopy?

Hi All, I am new to the thread! Unfortunately I got bad news during a HSG and am now scheduled for a laprascopy. What should I expect?!

Hey! Welcome. I've had one. It's a breeze. Did they say why you need one? Do you have a tubal blockage? I had one back in Feb to check for endo and my RE found a partially blocked tube and lavaged it out for me. Procedure was about 1.5 hours, I was out the whole time. Recovery was easy, I was not able to lift more than 15 pounds for about 2 weeks but everything else returned to normal right away. Some light bleeding and spotting for a day or two after. No sex for 2 weeks. You can take time oFF work if you need to, I took 2 days. It's easy peasy. How long have you been ttc?

It's not bad at all! I had 3 sizable cysts removed in 2014 and I was in far less pain after than before! My one but of advice is to drink lots of water with fresh mint in after for bloating. If it's the same one I had they pump your stomach with air and the gas and bloating is just godawful lol

I looked 5 months pregnant!!!! Hahahaha

There were 3 of us in the ward with the same thing all walking around trying to pass gas. So funny! Really was the only uncomfortable part. I took a whole week but by 3 days I was ready to pull my hair out.
