Im 17 years old and I am expecting my first baby. Im 16 weeks and in two weeks I will have my ultrasound to see what the baby is and I am excited although my mom wont be able to attend because she will be out of town taking care of my grandma because she has cancer and is on her death bed. I was wondering though what it first feels like to have your baby kick. I feel little tiny movements in my stomach, but am not sure if its the baby kicking.

i started having like flutters, or what i called bubbles at about 16/17 weeks, a kick? believe me you will know when it happens... it amazing, and gets better, stronger and more regualr.

as far as kicking, i don't really know either, but i hear that at your stage it's like a fluttering or a popping kind of thing?

I felt my first real "kick" a day before 20 weeks. I can't really describe it.
It feels really just like a little kick or movement inside of you, it's very comforting too.

The movement you are feeling probably is baby, they will only get stronger & you will definitley begin to notice them more!

Thanks everyone and thanks for all the replies about my grandma. Its been really hard because all she has been saying is im not ready to go because I still need to see my sara have her baby so its been really hard cause the doctor has already said its just a matter of time because theres nothing else they can do about it. Im hoping she at least holds on till I know what it is so she can know.

Really sorry to hear about your grandma
The first movements I felt were like flutters, or like a little popping sensation. As they start getting stronger you'll realise what they are, I was questioning whether they were actually movements at first but I guess that's because with your first you just don't know what to expect x
