Hi! Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My wife and I just celebrated 7 years together. We tried IUI four years ago (three cycles) w/o meds, didn't get pregnant, so pursued adoption. We adopted our gorgeous daughter last summer. I'm about to turn 39 so we decided one last try for #2...this time with tests and meds.
Baseline revealed cysts, so I'm currently waiting for my next cycle when they will check again. Waiting. Grr.
The last time we did IUI was really hard on me emotionally: distant doctors at the clinic we used, kind of a general assumption from staff that since I am overweight I wouldn't conceive, that sort of thing. We're at a new clinic now. I'm trying to be proactive about good self-care, so am hoping chatting here, reading your stories and sharing my own may help. Thanks for welcoming me!
