ok im getting seriously peed off with them. why have they changed the writing from black to clear. what is that all about? i cant see the markings at all when putting the water in, ive even marked them with black marker pen! and the teats collapse every time they use them, i have to keep pulling them out of their mouths to make the teat go back to normal shape. does anyone else think the new design is utter crap? :hissy:

I've heard it's because they are BPA free now. I use one of my old 5oz bottles to measure the water now, prefer to put my powder in first anyway so the spoon doesn't get clogged with steam. What size teats are you using? I have 1, 2 & variflow and the size 2 don't have a valve and collapse unlike the others although I have seen some that do have a valve.

I totally agree its damn annoying! I gave up on them and bought dr browns bottles on eBay. even though I had to buy teats new (obv) it worked out cheaper than Id've thought. I now have 11 bottles and 12 teats all for about 30quid! Maybe something to consider too hun?

These new tommee tippee ones are rubbish I know. HOW are you supposed to make a bottle of milk properly, when as soon as you pour hot water in the bottle you cant see the measurements at all. Its stupid! Didnt they test them before selling them to us!? And the teats are useless too, you're so right FsMummy...these bottles are utter crap.
please girls, dont waste your money on them.

A woman at my baby group has the Anti Colic ones - the 260ml ones, and they have writing on them, yet the box for them says they are BPA FREE. So dunno why they havent done this with the others.

I think we should email hem En Masse!

I'm 99% certain the ones I bought said BPA free on the box too and mine have black writing on, I got mine about 6 months ago though lol! I noticed the stupid clear writing on them the other day in Asda though, that would've put me off using them!

Oh I am so glad it's not just me being picky! They are the worst, but Dylan is set in his ways now and I needed to replace some of my existing bottles, so bought the BPA free TT bottles. Worst mistake ever!!! I may actually make a complaint about them too, they are not thought out right at all!
Thats a good idea, to measure the water separately, might start doing this. Thanks!

yes i keep meaning to complain, i really liked the old style ones. the ones im usng are the anti colic ones with the temp thing inside and the teats have no valve. i wanted to use dr browns ones but automatically used tt ones as my los are bf

hey hun have you tried Breast flow bottles?? they have coloured writing!! i couldnt stand not being able to read the bottles!!!! i combine ff with bf so i also chose tomee tipee bottles but the teats were collapsing and she was taking her feeds far too fast and throwing them back up soooo quickly!! tried the breast flow and love em!! only thing is they can leak a little some times if you dont have the teats on super properly!! :hugs:

I use the TT BPA free and although I find the writing a bit hard to read I am used to it now and it's not a prob. I just keep my eye on the measurement I want and it's fine. I prefer them to other bottles I have tried. :)

I agree with Amy Bumble - don't waste your money on tommee tippee bottles.

I think we sdhould email tt en mass and complain - obviously a man who is single with no kids designed them!

^ Wouldn't bother they ignore you! Well they reply but its pretty pointless - they will still carry on with their changes when it suits them not suit the parent IMO

They pulled CTN dummies off the shelves leaving hundreds of Mums without dummies who had and have problems using any other. They were totally different from ANYTHING else on the shelves and next thing I know they are being sold for £20 for TWO dummies taking the piss because every shop is out of stock & won't be restocking ...these 'sellers' knew there would be deseperate Mummys and thanks to TT they made a fortune from us. Their answer ...their blah blah blah guys with degrees and blah blah blah say its better for gums and designed those pokey little dummys with dimples in (lame attempt).

Totally unacceptable the joke is my youngest won't take any other dummy either I was desperate to get the thumb out of her mouth.

Would never rely on Tommee again unlike with my first I bought everything Tommee ...everything but Tommee thank you very much :D

Mine wont tolerate their dummies - yet wont tolerate anyother bottle teat but tt.
Once tt have you - they have you!
They've designed their stuff to be addictive for babies I think...

I emailed tt saying what I thought - i feel better now :)
( I gave phone number as 000000 - you can get away with that!)

My Megan is using AVENT but won't take even their dummies.

The design of the dummies they pulled were actually really good and IMO much better than any others ...

I rang and emailed them ...there was no point.

Youre right they do look manky and very CHEAP - they feel cheap too and sometimes kind of greasy I think.
Our market had a stack of them for sale at £1 each. i didnt buy any as wasnt sure if they were genuine, but I bet they were stock some shop couldnt get rid of.

We only bought them yesterday. have 2 of the old ones that amber loves. glad i only paid £5 for 6, they are rotten, but she will only take tt teats...

dont they do the normal one's anymore?? I still use the old ones. I havent used their new ones but they sound useless and look cheap too! x

I emailed them complaining and asking if there was anywhere to buy the original ones. They spouted some rubbish about listening to parents and they wanted BPA free and they are working on a way to put the black writing back on. Also offered to refund me if I sent them the bottles I was complaining about... How stupid is that!? It would mean I wouldn't have enough bottles and would need to buy MORE of their crap ones in order to feed Dylan which would defeat the object of sending them back.
I swear my next will use a different brand, they have completely lost my custom. I emailed Pampers about a problem with their nappies and they were fantastic, sent me a voucher and were very apologetic. TT can't even think through what they were offering me properly.

Got a reply - sayign it is to prevent ''rubbing off'' - has any of your bottles had rubbing off, cos mine havnt!

''Although we appreciate that embossed graduations are not as easy to read as the printed markings on our pre-BPA free polycarbonate bottles, we still believe that our new bottles more than live up to your – and our – very high standards of quality and performance.''

also been ofered a refund if send them back... hmm like above, what will i feed her from. TT have already made her reliant on their teats!
