new tommee tippee bottles WTF!!!

I am beginning to think it may be a standard reply! I'll post the reply I got, is it the same?

Hi Krystina

Tommee Tippee has introduced a new Closer to Nature BPA-free bottle in polypropylene to give parents the total reassurance they’d expect from the UK’s leading brand.

In moving to this new softer material for bottles we have chosen to emboss graduations onto the bottle to remove any potential risks associated with printed graduations "rubbing off."

Although we appreciate that embossed graduations are not as easy to read as the printed markings on our pre-BPA free polycarbonate bottles, we still believe that our new bottles more than live up to your – and our – very high standards of quality and performance.

We’d like to stress that we take all our consumer feedback very seriously (in fact it was feedback from parents that helped us to decide to go BPA-free) and so we are already working on ways we can achieve a printed BPA-free bottle where visible graduations would remain intact through many months of continued use and sterilisation.

However, If you wish to return these to us at the address below we will certainly refund these for you.

Many thanks

Yep exactly the same reply - I sent a reply back - will prolly get that one again and if so shows their ''we are commited to consumer feedback' speech is a load of balony.

I don't use the teats as I use mine for keeping boiled water in fridge as TT have decent lids, but yes I feel your pain they are awful with not being able to see the markings. They also lose their shape if you put boiling water straight from kettle in too.

I completely agree with what all of you have said. Fortunately my little boy wasn't dependent on any particular type of teat so we've moved to AVENT bottles. Asda had a deal on a few weeks ago so I've now got 6 AVENT and had no trouble with the bottles going squishy, the teats collapsing, etc.

TT really are rubbish bottles compared to these. I might actually send them back and see if I get a refund.

What gets me is that they appreciate the embossed graduations are difficult to read but believe their bottles are living up to a very high standard of performance - yeah, just as long as you're not bothered how accurate you are putting water into your baby's bottle.

Now tbh a drafted email isn't a bad idea for any company but a personal touch should be added however TT imo don't listen to the customers MUMS they just change things at the drop of a hat and tough titty. I wasn't satisfied with the answers to my enquiries because the end result was a frustrated child, frustrated Mummy & being ripped off for 4+ times the amount of retail price thanks to them. Had I known this was going to happen I would have stocked up before they disappeared off the shelves ...I only found out because my daughter needed new ones and couldn't understand why they weren't in BOOTS then eBay gobsmacked me. But hey that wasn't their problem was it it was mine & my daughters. Its lamost like snatching their comfort blankie away.

TBH I wouldn't bother wasting time on it (emailing)...

I have also tried most of these, and TT were the first to go in the rubbish.

We used Avent for a long time and quite like them, but they make too many bubbles.

Now I swear by Dr Browns (no bubbles), they are BPA free now too. They are a little harder to clean, but if you clean in batches like we do then it is not much longer to clean them.

i got a real reply 2nd time

Thank you for getting back to us, the older bottles are still available in smaller chemists and Wilkinsons store. Which is why we offered a refund so you could maybe purchase the older bottles if you were able to find them, then return the items you were unhappy with.

During testing of the printing on the new material we have found the measurements to rub off over time with constant sterilising, this may have not happened with the older bottles as they were made from a different material and the printing process would have been different. We are looking into ways to be able to print on the new material without the measurements rubbing off.

On this occasion if you were to return the bottles back in batches we will be able to replace them with the older Polycarbonate bottles which has the printed measurements and however they are not BPA free. Unfortunately we are unable to arrange a refund or replacements without receiving something back first.

Many Thanks

well thats a bit better lol they havent replied to me yet.

I'll be off to Wilkinsons soon then! Surely they could add this to their standard reply!!!
