new year resolution: weight loss

My diet has gone out of the window with xmas, and I've gained it all back :blush: So that's it, it's got to go! Stupid christmas and all the sweets that go with it!

anyone else making weight loss their new years resolution?
 
Yeah I am 2/3 months to lose some weight before I commence IVF. I'm going to get to the gym as well. Would you like a weight loss buddy? It might help egg us on x
 
same here both of u. Im not overweight, BMI is 22 but Im at my heaviest Ive ever been in my life and its slowly creeping on month by month. So my goal is to lose maybe 9-10lbs hubby needs to lose weight too. Wwe can do it girls, my cousin just lost 3 stone to start IVF. Its a great incentive!!!
 
btw i think there is a weight loss thread....whats ur target weights girls? Im 10 stone and want to be around 9 stone 2. I was 8 stone 3 when I got married 4 and a half years ago!!!:dohh:
 
first target it 12 and a half, this'll get me where I need to be for the ovarian drilling/iui, but ideally 10 and a half to get BMI to 25
 
Its part of my resolution hun, started ww back in Nov, and not looking forward to how I have done over christmas!!!

Can I join your weight loss club. Start IVF in May and weigh 11st 7 want to be 10st by May or at least 10.7. Just brought Wii fit hoping this will help.

I've been giving thought to wii fit as well, but not sure if I'd find the time, I am useless at making time. However, I just bought scales in morrisons that do body fat and water percentage as well for £10, so that should give me some motivation.
 
well, I am truly horrified at my fat percentage, however today is the first day of the new diet, so hopefully it'll drop soon :D

how was everyone's new year? we stayed in, and were in bed by midnight lol
 
Thats the attitude hun, doesnt mater what you weigh now but that you are doing something about it!!!

I really should have stuck to the voddy and diet coke last night but i found rum and ginger beer, yummmmmmm.

Diet back on as have weigh in on Tuesday ahhhhh.

do you find the groups actually help? I've always been a bit of a skeptic, but wondering if it'd make the crucial difference
 
Ive tried the online version twice and didnt last more than 3 weeks, i need to be weighed as I want it to be good and if ive been 'naughty' the fear of being weighed stresses me out, but online i just thought of who cares! I dont stay for the meeting as my best friend goes as well and we chat about how its going and tips, ive done ww previusly and found the meetings good as you get tips and PMA from other people.

maybe see how the online goes and if it starts going down hill, go to a meeting?? I could be your scary weigh in master!!!
 
lmao! I could definately do with one, though DH is gonna lose weigt with me, so I expect the competiton will help too
 
Goodluck hun, come visit my journal and let me know how you get on.

My main tips would be that the first week might be hard, you might be hungry quite a bit but i found that within about 2 weeks i had cut out snacking completly and was no where near as hungry. Eating wise try hot water with lemon for your first drink of the day it helps speed up your matabolism and babybel lights are only a point and sugarfree jelly is free so find out what is free and what you like. I find i add carrots, mushrooms and jelly to most meals!!!

Ive also been quite surprised that meals you would think are high in points are not so always try something out.
 
I didnt think of jelly! must get some as I love it :)

trying to stay away from the left over sweeties from xmas, which is tough! also trying to drink more water, which I'm crap at.
