Newbie...help needed with charting :-)

Hello everyone, I’m back on B and B after a few years since having my second child. I’m ready to TTC but since having my coil out in 2016 and NTNP nothing has happened. Last 6 months have been tracking my periods and my cycles are irregular usually between 24-28 days in length. In the last year Iv noticed that before AF fully starts i spot what looks like old brown blood and this can happen 5 days before AF actually starts and I think this is confusing me massively with trying to work out when I’m ovulating. I’m looking for advice and how best to try and work out when ovulation is occurring so I can BD as soon as my fertile window is starting. I don’t really want to spend out on OPK.


Please help!

Are you temping? If not, that would be my suggestion. The brown (old) spotting could be actually from ovulation?

Ok this is interesting. I do still get a change in CM but I had noticed this happening quite early in the cycle! I think I have just become so out of synch with my own body which is quite sad sad really.

I would download the Taking Charge of Your Fertility app. Mainly because there is a lot that you can be documenting that might help narrow this down. I would also read Taking Charge of Your Fertility as this will help you understand how to gage signs better. I highly recommend that book. I am getting back into charting since I fell out of it 5 years ago (stupid Pill). If you need a chart pal let me know!!
