Newbie in TWW (AF due 25th March)

Hi everyone

I'm new to (posting on!) the forums and new to the waiting game! DH & I have been NTNP since Dec, but this is first cycle where something *could* happen.

Anyone else due on 25th March, or thereabouts? Could do with some TWW buddies.

I haven't been taking my temps or tracking CM so I don't have much to go on with symptoms. I'm between 4 & 10DPO as my cycles vary between 28 and 33 days. Next month I'll hopefully have a better idea of O day.

Ordered some FRER tests online, and will test on Sat morn as I should be at least 8DPO by then, if not 14.

I'm personally against testing with HPTs until AF is due or late, but I think it's because I don't want to be disappointed until I have to be. Some girls swear by them, so whatever works for you! If you want to POAS, you may have more success buying some OPKs, so you can better determine when you O. I don't do that either, but I just started temping last week. I've been tracking my cycles since last July when I went off BCP, and tracking CM and CP since the beginning of the year.

I agree with you about waiting, but since I could be 14DPO on Sat, AF could appear! It's tricky having slightly irregular cycles, but hopefully next month I will be more clued up about O day.
I definitely plan to buy opk, because my temp will probably be unreliable. I started tracking my cycles around the same time as you, although at the time I only really did it so I would know if my wedding day would be AF free!
Does your CP show a regular pattern? I have read lots about CM, but CP is slightly more mysterious to me.

I'm still working on telling the difference between high and low, and it always feels closed to me, but I think I've got the hang of telling soft or firm. I was pretty bad about tracking my CP in the app I was using before FF (called MyDays), and mostly used CP when I was in a symptom-spotting Google frenzy. Now I'm using FF and trying to make better notes about everything so I can get this baby with science!

My cycle got to be pretty regular after a few months; at the beginning of getting off 10 years on BC, I would have bleeding every 8-11 days. It was awful. I thought my cycle had gotten solid at 28 days, but now I'm CD31 and while I have some pink, I'm not full-blown AF yet.

Yikes, 8 to 11 days...! That does not sound fun! Glad it's settled down for you now. Do you feel like you're about to start AF? I have heard of pregnant ladies spotting when they would start their period.

I use the FF app too, I'm getting used to it. So CP will still remain a little mysterious for now. How often do you check?

I kinda check throughout the day. Practice makes perfect, right?

I'm CD1 right now as of right now. I didn't feel like AF was coming, but then I'm usually pretty light on symptoms. My temp dropped though, so that is supposed to be a sign of AF coming.

Haha, it does indeed! At the moment I'm doing the same! I thought it was just because it's all new to me, but maybe I will carry on. Can't hurt to get to know my body better.
