Hello all. Just wondered if anyone had any positive stories re:pcos/ Im 26 and have been TTC for 18 months now. I was diagnosed with PCOS after begging my doctor for help 4 nearly 2 yrs! I have irregular, erratic 44 -59+ cycles with periods lasting up to two weeks. I do ovulate, But not regularly every month. Just feel like i've come to a dead end. I have no one close who understands what i go through&my friends/ family have children without complications, so its tough. Im overweight (on a diet) gt to lose 3 stone and specialists will offer me icsi. So that keeps me positive. Started slimfast one month ago and ive lost about a stone.

would like to hear or speak to people in the same boat!!

Thanks ladies...

Hi there! I'm 30 and was diagnosed with pcos when I was 25. I had been ttc for a year before I went to a specialist. He didn't want to help me much either. My cycles have always been off (even when I was 110lbs). They can last anywhere for 45-90+ days. I was told to lose 10-15 lbs and that my cycles would go back to normal. So not true! Needless to say, I didn't go back to that dr. I spoke to my family dr and he put me on clomid which helped me ovulate and I was lucky enough to get pregnant right away. I don't believe I can ovulate on my own and if I do its like every 3 months so I know how tough that can be. You never really know when you'll ovulate and opks don't help because your LH levels are all over the place. I had my second baby on clomid as well and have just seen the dr to see if I should take it again for #3.
I'm not really sure what a icsi is, but I hope that works for you. Have you tried or discussed other options with your dr. I'm surprised that it took you 2 years to get your dr to help you! That's ridiculous! Congrats on the 1 stone loss! That's amazing!

Hi there :hi: I'm similar to you. TTC 16months, I'm 27 and recently diagnosed with PCOS waiting for appt to hopefully get clomid. I know what you mean, seems like people around you all pregnant!!!
