Good Day All,
I am new to the group and to the site. I found this site by doing a ttc google search. My partner and I are looking to become pregnant really soon. We did an at home insemination May 2013 and it did not take so I was devastated. I am now looking to get all kinds of info and help I can doing all types of research that I can find. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. I am looking to become pregnant really soon as I am approaching 35 in January lol. Hope to get to know a lot of you and your stories. Thx.

Welcome! This site has a fountain of information, and lots of friendly helpful people. Definitely look around and post in several relevant areas, the assisted conception forum might be good to look through. Currently not TTC yet, so I can't be of much help....but glad to have you here!

Hi there. I hope when you start TTC it happens very quickly for you. There are quite a few lesbian threads, and the general boards have been very welcoming and accepting too. When are you going to start trying again?

My partner and I are currently 11.5 weeks pregnant after successful home insemination. It took us 4 months in total.

We used Fertility Friends temperature charting facility and a Clearblue Fertility Monitor to help us.

My main tip would be to start checking your temps and ovulation charts WAY BEFORE you start trying so that you can get to know what your body is does and when but DON’T rely on the gadgets and gizmos.

We started out using them approx 6 months before trying and by the third month I would be able to know when I put my bra on in the morning or went to the bathroom “oh I am going to ovulate tomorrow” and then the gizmos would tell me if I was right or not. By the time we got round to trying I knew when the time was right for us to “give it a go” by what my body was doing and sure enough we would try and my ovulation would be right around the corner! x

My wife and I just found out she is pregnant today. My best advice while trying is NOT to google everything! We were extremely lucky to get pregnant on our second time around, but I was still devastated when I found out she wasn't that first month.

We both were googling every single thing she noticed with her body, and I just knew she was pregnant.

Also, try not to stress out about it. I know it is really hard when you are a lesbian because you can't just not think about it and just have sex and see what happens. However, this month we were much less stressed about really wanting it to happen. Around the time we were trying/she was ovulating we were talking about how we wouldn't be disappointed if it didn't happen this month because the due date would be rather inconvenient. Then, sure enough, she got pregnant.

So, don't google and don't stress. Hope you two the best!
