You'd think as this is my second time round id have more of a clue lol! But my dd never had any feeding issues.
My ds has started just taking 1 ounce at a time, then an hour later wanting more. It's not a huge problem and he seems fine it's just that I seem to spend all afternoon (morning he doesn't seem to do it) constantly feeding him. Do FF babies cluster feed like BF do? I'm also worried that maybe he's only feeding for comfort sometimes and not because he's hungry and maybe I shouldnt be be offering him the bottle as often as I am.

Anyone any experience like this?

Mine did the same, I think it's called grazing. She grew out of it after a couple of weeks I would just go with the flow xx

My son did this. He still kinda does with only taking 2 oz and then wanting more 1.5 hours later.

Thanks ladies, I guess I'll just have to hope it's a short phase lol. It's not so bad whilst my df is off work but I don't know how I'll cope constantly feeding him all afternoon and somehow watching my 1 year old!

my daughter keeps trying to do this. for now since she is so little i offer her a soothie pacifier instead of the bottle, and stick to a strict 3 hour schedule. otherwise she will keep me up all night and day feeding like this. at night i give her a bath and some gripe water with her last bottle and she sleeps up to 7 hours. i do not offer the binky at night when its bedtime though.

oh yeah my little is almost a month old now. for the first two weeks i fed her as needed and it totally did range between 1-2hrs. it sucks but they do grow out of it. my nurses told me to do anything i could to delay her feeding though and not to feed her less than every 2 hours even when she was only a day old

Thanks Hun, I spoke to my MW about it and she said leave at least 1 and a half hours between so almost the same advice as you. The problem I think with my ds is he has grunting baby syndrome I think, he's not figured out how to poop properly yet so he strains and grunts a lot, and I think then he wants feeding as he has belly ache and thinks he's hungry. MW said that I need to leave 1 and a half hours for the feed to digest so he's not making his belly ache worse so she also suggested using the dummy (pacifier) or offering a little cool boiled water instead of a feed if he's fussy sooner.
I was worried I was over feeding him but MW said as long as he isn't vomiting he's fine.

I also keep to a 3-4 hour schedule for my LO I have done since birth but sometimes she doesn't feed much and will want another feed sooner than the 4 hour mark but then the next feed she usually makes up for it. She will sleep a good 6/7 hours through the night (sometimes lol!) so I know she's capable and I know if she cries an hour or two hours after a feed she just wants comfort so I usually cuddle her, change nappy, offer soother ect and only offer a bottle as a last resort if I feel she's truly hungry x
