Hi there
Never been on this part of the forum before so thought id introduce myself and hopefully meet some nice new people to talk to!
My names Annie, I'm 22 and have a gorgeous daughter called Evelyn who's 8 1/2 months. Shes not crawling yet but is very vocal, sleeps well and is eating practically what the rest of the family are eating. Her brother is due in July, just before her first birthday (Evie was planned but no2 was ntnp). I have been with their dad 7 years, since we were both very young, and last week decided I'd had enough and asked him to leave. He's since moved out to his mums and were struggling though the early stages of sorting out belongings, post, and most important, contact with Evie. It's not nice
I'm bored so just some history :
I am currently a stay at home mum and decided not to go back to work as a nursery nurse as there was no point, and I can't afford to put two children in nursery even if I wanted to! Currently live with my mum, who's lovely, but hopefully moving in the next few months once a suitable, local place comes up. Evie was born at home (5.5 hour labour!) and delivered by my mum, who's a midwife. Aiming for the same this time too. In regards to my oh, I do still love him, but we have spent the last year struggling over money (he refused to work more than 19 hours a week at his current job and I never saw any of it, neither did Evie), didn't help round the house and was generally unco-operative and lazy. This pregnancy took the biscuit, as i struggled with morning sickness this time, night feeds, and not really wanting anyone near me physiclly (in that way!) which he just didnt understand, or didnt want to. My family were getting sick of it and so was I, so finally, I took the plunge and told him if he wouldn't change and grow up, he was out. So he left. He is still currently sulking, but im hoping things will be amicable in the future.
I am looking forward to the next few months with Evie and then with her and her brother, I know it will be hard but trying to keep a positive head on things I.e. spending all my doing things out and about with Evie and researching double prams...
Anyone else a single young mum to one or more children?
Sorry for the essay! xxxx
