Looking to go to cornwall next summer, probably in the 6weeks holidays, maybe just before. Never been before and looking for ideas of nice places to stay, both the town and actual accomadation. Would preferably like a cottage/holiday home but would look at other things. We will have a 5 and 3 year old and like to be near a beach, with plenty to do near by but not overly commercialised. Any suggestions welcome.

Perranporth is a great place to stay with children, easy to travel around the dutchy as close to a30, great beach, food places etc and is quite central in Cornwall.

Depends what you're after really though. I think Polperro is beautiful, and there's some really nice cottages. It's on the south coast and does means a bit of a car journey to see other places, is very much middle of nowhere, though is right next to Looe which is also lovely.

Falmouth is fab too.

Isabelles just come back off holiday with my mum and sister they stayed at St Ives bay in a lovely caravan and they said it was lovely lots to do and in ideal location

I've stayed at general holiday park it was really nice and the caravan was beautiful xx

I now live in Falmouth Cornwall and it's beautiful I'm originally from Newquay pretty much all of here is lovely and transport is not too bad either

It's all beautiful! we used to live in Cornwall and I miss it all the time.

I would personally aim to stay somewhere in between Devon/Cornwall then you can visit both as they both have various things to do, we love woodlands theme park down there as it's got a huge number of slides.
