My LO is 17 days old and she's a very settled and content baby. She's gotten herself into a good little nighttime routine - last feed at 10, then wakes around 2:30 and 6:30 for her next feeds (give or take half an hour). Change, feed, wind and settled back down takes 30-40 minutes. Last night, she fed at 10 for 20 minutes, and when I put her down she was a little unsettled, so she had another 5 minutes on my boob and then settled down for the night between 10:45-11ish. She normally wakes between 2-2:30 after this, but last night she didn't wake until just gone 3:30am, and even then she weren't crying starving, she stirred for a little while in her basket and then I got her out myself to feed at 3:45am. Is this too long for her to go without a feed? I only ask because when they're first born they say they need to feed every 3-4 hours, but my supply seems quite settled now and she has her own little routine so I don't want to go back to setting an alarm every 4 hours to wake her to feed. Can I just carry on as we are and feed on her cue at night as this is what is working for us and her routine suits me down to a T considering how young she is!

Absolutely carry on as you are and feed based on her cues. I would assume that her stomach capacity is now bigger so she is needing to eat slightly less frequently at night. I'd only set an alarm if she isn't a good feeder and you are concerned about her weight, otherwise it sounds like you are on to a good thing. They are so variable at this point that in a few days or weeks time she might be back to 2am wakings again, so just enjoy the extra sleep while you can!

Absolutely let her sleep unless there are concerns about her not gaining enough weight! Enjoy the extra rest. :)

I agree, don't wake the baby - enjoy some extra sleep lol :) I wish my lo would sleep that well :haha:

She's gaining plenty of weight so I'm going to carry on as we are. She goes 4-5 hours in the night but the day is a different story, but I'm happy with that for now lol.
