Another question about feeding sorry im full of them today. It seems to be a bit much to get up a crying baby and carry him around while boiling water and waiting for it to cool and mixing formula. How else would you go about this premake them and put them in the fridge?. Than if i did that you still have to reheat them so how would you go about that because microwave is not reccomended hmmm

I premake mine and put it in the fridge. When I need them, I just put a pyrex measuring cup with water in the microwave, warm that up and then take it out. Then, I dunk the bottle I made into that measuring cup so it warms it up. That way, I'm not putting the bottle into the micro.

I premade and put in the fridge and warmed them up in a bottle warmer early on. Around 8 months or so though I got lazy and just started using the microwave  Just made sure to shake it well after

ya i was thinking i will probably end up doing microwave as well since the bottles are bpa free now haha

i microwave them just for like 10 seconds to take the chill off... then shake very well and test on your hand!!

We take up 3 bottles with cooled boiled water, when she wakes we add one oz of hot from the flask and then the milk. This is the perfect temp for her and saves messing about heating it up.

We premake ours leave in the fridge and use the bottle warmer but before we got that just used to boil the kettle get a jug then put the bottle in and it heats up quick!

I do that.

Put formula in the bottles. Put the bottles in the fridge. When my LO wants food, I just put hot water in a measuring cup and stick the bottle in there for a minute or so. My LO doesn't really care if the formula is warm or cold. At least not yet - she's only 8 days old.

That's a brilliant idea!!!

Ya i will look into bottle warmers or i will microwave it i dont want to be spending tons of time reheating thanx girls

I bought a bottle warmer and it was the biggest waste of money going.

I am still unsure about premaking the formula so I make half a bottle of formula and topup and cool down with expressed breastmilk from the fridge. Might be an idea if you dont want to breastfeed but would like her to get your milk?

im strictly using formula which on it says its fine to put in fridge for 24 hours so im not to concerned i just dont want baby super upset if i have to heat up a bottle and would like to do as fast as possible haha

I boil water everyday, and put it in a mason jar. Then, I just add it to a bottle with formula, and I do use the microwave. A trick to making sure that there are no hotspots (that's why microwaving is not recommended).... heat up the water before you add the formula :) Then give it a good shake.... it's all good.
