I have a 14 weeks old baby that is exclusively breastfed and breastfeeding has never been a problem. With my first baby, 4 years ago, I had lots of issues breastfeeding as he did not latch and that's when after few weeks of trying to teach him to latch, I got a small dark spot on my nipple that never went away but just faded away a bit over the years. This time around, as I said, everything goes well, no more bitings, pain, cracked nipples, but I have just noticed that the brown spot is there, a little bit bigger as my nipples are huge. I went to see my family doctor and she said she was going to consult with a lactation consultant and see if I need to be seen in person by the LC. She said that although it looks like a freckle/mole, it could be something that is breastfeeding related. It does not hurt, bleed or itch, it just looks kind of funny.

Anybody dealt with something similar? Thanks in advance.

I have a couple of them and my dermatologist said they were a type of harmless wart! They do look like moles and mine appeared during pregnancy x
