hello, can anyone help me, i already have a son at the age of 7 but when he was born he would not link on and i ended up having to bottle feed which up set me. i am ttc now but since then and now i have both my nipples pierced and now i dont know what to do, help:shrug:

I really don't know what effect it would have. I would think you could still bf as you did not damage the inner workings of the milk ducts- your milk just might shoot out at funny angles if you changed the direction of the duct on the surface. I would talk to your doc/mw now though- they may recommend you take them out now to give the holes time to heal. Good luck!

I BF fine with my LO and I only took my piercing out 3 days before she was born (the night before my induction) The only thing different is that it also comes out of the piercing holes (if they are still open) although I have heard that sometimes the milk ducts can be damaged so that may affect it

I breastfed My son with pierced nipples. I obviously took the rings out for safety reasons. It actually made it easier for the both of us because I had multiples places for the milk to flow out.
