no fetal pole or heartbeat in gestationl sac

hi im new to this site, i was wondering is it normal to only see a gest sac and no fetal pole at 5 weeks maybe 5.5 weeks? i had a m/c nov 22nd and found out nye im pregnant again went fo early scan on 6th jan and now i have to wait 3 weeks to go back for a dating scan.

It is normal to see nothing in gestational sac at thus stage I didn't see anything til I was 6+ wks hope this helps x

It is very normal from what I hear. I had an u/s at 5+5 and we did see fetal poles, but no h/b's yet. At 6+3 they were there beating away. It also depends on the machine they used, it could have been kinda old or maybe the tech not quite as skilled. I know it's pointless telling you not to worry, but try. Just imagine your baby all snuggled in, kinda like playing hide-and-seek. Little trouble maker. ;-)

thanks for your replys.. but i cant stop worrying about it and having to wait 3 weeks for another scan. i have 2 children that are 8 and 6 and since then i have had 3 m/c, so im really worried it will happen again.

Yes - this is totally normal - obviously varies from one pg to another. I know you'll worry anyway but there is no reason to give up hope.

Totally normal hon try not to worry. Normally at 6 weeks is when you see everything Also depends when your baby implants, sometimes it's a lot later and puts you back a little. x

hi just to let you all no the outcome i couldnt wait 3 weeks as i was having cramps and backache so i went to epu and there it was heart beating and everything its amazing what can change in a week
