No heartbeat at 7 weeks

Hi all, I had an us scan last week at 6+2 and there was a sac but no heartbeat, was back today at 7 weeks due to severe abdo pain and still no heartbeat, I'm back again on Thurs. Has anyone else not heard the heartbeat until later? Every thing I read when I google it doesn't seem to be good news
I had a missed mc in nov and an ectopic in jan so trying to cling on that this will be good news.

its possible maybe your dates are off....if you had a ectopic only in january maybe your cycle is a bit messed up still and you ovulated later than you thought... that early its hit or miss...i know some people said you cant see a heartbeat until later...also did they do a external ultrasound or a internal...i had a external done at 6w5d and they couldnt see a heartbeat on a external but the tech did a internal and it was there... also did they measure a embryo in the gestational sac? if so did they give you a date...i know i was 6w5d since LMP but ultrasound measured it at 6w1d. if it was a internal ultrasound they should be able to see it at 6 weeks but ive read of people who couldnt see it until 8 weeks or so. hope everything is ok for you!
