no heartbeat, in denial

It's been a week since I found out my baby has no detected heartbeat. I have not bled at all yet. I had terrible cramping after the two ultrasounds I had last week (transvaginal), but that's it. I am super sick, my hcg is rising on track, and I am so depressed and hormonal it is nearly unbearable I have my third (and probably final) ultrasound tomorrow, which will confirm no heartbeat, and afterwards I will have a d&c. Part of me has accepted that my baby is no longer with us, and another is holding onto hope since I have a very retroverted uterus (perhaps the angle is so terrible that they can't get a view of the heartbeat- they have admitted to not being able to measure accurately due to the terrible tilt as is...)

Thanks everyone. I had my D&C on Wednesday and lucky me I'm pretty sick afterward. Chills, fever, emotional stress, headache and pressure in my head. I'm glad the worst part is over but I feel like I can't catch a break!
