me and my partner have been TTc almost 3years now, we were offered clomid last june which we done for 6cycles sadly it ended in ectopic pregnancy, we are back at infertility clinic on monday and i was wondering what we might be offered next, i know we wont be offered IVF, but what else might the doctor offer/suggest next?

My OH is super fertile so no problems there, its all me, i have sever PCOS and Retroveted Uterus, which they say have effected my fertility greatly, i am in my 20's.... not over weight and pretty healthy... We're based in the uk if that makes a difference. I only usually get 2-4periods a year, but did get them regularly with clomid.

anyways would be grateful for any ideas or suggestions

Thanks

stories would be great too x

they may offer you iui why will they not try you with ivf hun xx xx

the doctor said we would not be offered IVF because my partner has no fertility issues, plus our age and i have a son who is almost 3. my son sadly is not my partners, i heard we might be able to get injectable fertility drugs next?

sorry to butt in here but i also would like to know whats next as clomid didn't work for me either i've heard that there's some form of injectables and that they are getting more common however other than that i don't know anything about them xx

i've just had a quick look on google and it says it's called gonal-F injection and it containes the hormone FSH and sometimes LH dependant on the person ... it's no good for women with cancers, ovarian cyts or physical issues with thier female reproductive organs xx

Hi, I had three failed clomid cycles from 50mg to 150mg and am having a laparoscopy next week. After that I'll be starting Gonal F injectables with a trigger shot once follicles reach maturity(Usually day 11-14) and then timed :sex: Ovulation occurs 36 hrs after trigger shot. I too have PCOS and this is next step according to my FS. Maybe ask your doc about it. Aside from that would ovarian drilling be a possibility??

going to tlk to doctor bout it just wasn;t sure what my options might be and wasn't sure what other people had been offered.

Maybe ask him/her about metformin. Idk if the uk has that or not or how to long it would take to obtain it. Some go through some tests before hand. My dr prescribed it to me on wednesday and he said that he recommends it more than clomid because you take it everyday. And also that it works very well with women with irregular peroids. In the mean time though I will send some babydust your way and hope you get your bfp on your own!!!

sadly thats not offered at my clinic there was a study done recently tht showed it didn't do anything so they stopped using it because was a waste of money (thier words not mine) i am unsure what we will be offered next :(
