Ahhhhh!!! Took Marlie to a restaurant to meet an old friend of mine visiting from the states. She was such a pain! Wouldn't sit in anyone's laps or play with her toys like she used to. She just wanted to get down and walk around and make gaga eyes at all of the men. She was a pill! I couldn't carry on a conversation, and my OH wasn't with me as he was playing football. I think our restaurant nights are over for a while. Time to get a sitter.
I know the feeling! We now go to restuarants that have little playgrounds so I can take him on the horsey for a bit. I then use tricks like giving him nice snacks when he is sitting in his pram to keep him busy. I feel really bad trying to keep them still for so long as they have just learnt how to explore the world and its all they want to do. Getting a sitter is a good idea for an evening out with friends etc, but I suggest you still take your LO out once in a while as they have to learn at some point.
