i think it all depends which way your midwife is counting from !
im 4/5 which is just sitting on the pelvis or something along those lines but my midwife is measuring as in 5/5 being the least

I bet baby is really 1/5 engaged now, and I just thought she meant 4/5s.

My MW told that 4/5 ment that LO was just starting to engage or in simpler terms she could still feel 4 5ths of the head .. It confuses me too.. I was 4/5 at my last appointment but like you haven't a clue what it actually means!!!

Look in your maternity notes and see what she wrote down. If she wrote 4/5 then baby is 1/5 engaged. If she wrote 1/5 then baby is 4/5 engaged.
Either way the fact that your baby is engaging at all is a good thing. If she is 1/5 engaged she might not even go right down until you go into labour.
