No sore boobs on 2nd Clomid round?

Hey girls,

Well according to FF and my OPK's I'm now 3dpo. Usually I get sore boobs (I did on round 1 50mg Clomid), but on 100mg I have no soreness...is this a common thing for you ladies too? I felt really groggy like something was happening down below the days leading up to ovulation but it just feels like nothing is happening down below now...so I'm hoping it's a good thing.

Usually I ov around cd40+ but last cycle is was cd23 and this cycle it was cd20 - I'm wondering if maybe I've ov'd from a different side this time which doesn't give me "typical" symptoms

Don't get me wrong I have considered that although I got a +opk and the temps rose that perhaps I haven't ovulated at all but I'm so hoping I have.

Any advice?

I'm not sure if I can help, but I'll tell you my experience.

I did 5 cycles of Clomid (50,100,100,150,100) and feel like my "symptoms" were inconsistent while I was on it. Even after 5 months, I didn't come to expect anything particular. I feel that way now, too, on injections. I think it's just so hard to say what that stuff is doing

Thanks Lizzy yeah I get what you mean. I'm not expecting the same symptoms every single month, but before the clomid and on the first round I had sore boobs so I'm a little unsure if I have ov'd at all.

Round 1 - I had the hot flushes\sore boobs
Round 2 - skin is a lot clearer\no sore boobs\bit moodier at times

I just wish someone else went through the same thing so I'd know I'm not over thinking it!

Tanzibar, I am also on Round 2 and I think my bbs were sore at this point last month too. I've been a bit more surly too.

Hey Tanzibar! I'm in the TWW of my 3rd round of clomid. I only know of one natural ovulatory cycle that I've had, last February/March.

Natural cycle -- Nipples were SUPER sore in the TWW. Brushing against anything with all the winter layers (and a thick bra!) I could still feel it.

Clomid cycle #1: No side affects pre-O, O cd17, post-O cramping, backache and sore nipples. Not as bad as that natural cycle, but definitely sore/sensitive. AF showed 15dpo.

Clomid cycle #2: Hot flashes on the CDs I took the clomid, didn't sleep through the night until CD18 when I took something to force my body into it, didn't O until CD33. Post-O had sore/sensitive nipples, not as bad as the previous cycle. But they never went away! Not as much cramping/uterine activity until 14dpo, spotting on 15dpo (I never spot!) and AF 16dpo.

Clomid cycle #3: AF was a little different this cycle, but it was definitely AF. A few hot flashes, not anything close to how bad cycle #2 was. Nipples still sore pre-O, nausea, congestion, and if I hadn't been temping I would've sworn I was pg despite AF arriving. O'd CD17, currently 6dpo. Nipples aren't even close to sensitive. I've had some light cramping, gas, and copious amounts of CM.


Maybe our bodies just adjust to it?

Nevernormal - See my current round I have been quite crampy since cd1 then it stopped around ovulation day (see my chart). I like the sound of your 3rd and current round of clomid (the absence of sore nipples that is). I'm wondering the same thing, if it's just our bodies adjusting to it but what I'll dread is that my temps go down over the next few days then FF wipes my crosshairs away...usually when I don't feel 100% confident I'm right

Nope, this month they are not sore, last month this time they were though.. so I'm surprised

Doh sorry read your post wrong. So what DPO are you on then? we could buddy up!

Have you had any other symptoms, or lack of? I'm doing more exercise these days which has got me thinking if maybe thats a factor in not having sore boobs (better health??) but I don't know.

With the absence of the sensitive nipples I was very hesitant to believe that I really ovulated as well, but here I am 6dpo and temps are still climbing!

Oh I didn't put this in my first post, but I am on 100mg, and I took it CDs4-8 for all three cycles.

ah interesting - yes I can see they are climbing indeed. what do you think to mine?

100mg on all 3 cycles? so how come you were put on clomid? Doctors found endometrium on my left ovary (lining from the uterus) and I'd been having 50+ day cycles. First round I was on 50mg cd2-6 this cycle I was on 100mg cd2-6 again.

I don't mind being on the Clomid, I feel like I'm actually being proactive about baby making I just don't like the way newspapers use it. I read an article the other day about this woman who had TTC for 18 months and finally fell pregnant when her hubby was having midnight sex (apparantly it's a condition where he has sex in his sleep). The article read "she was gearing to up go on the FERTILITY DRUG clomid" - I thought how dare they be so brutal about it. Yes it's a drug but I see it as medicine as opposed to a drug!

Tanzibar - I am 5DPO and I can always use a buddy Looking at your sig it looks like I'm a day ahead of you, and I too have never seen that second line.
