Hey guys
My story is pretty simple.
It was April 12 at 1:00 in the morning. The night before al I noticed was an amazing increase in Braxton hicks. Looking back I think those were the start of my contractions. Well it was one in the morning and I woke up because my back felt kind of uncomfortable. I rolled over, and fell back asleep. About five minutes later I shot up from being asleep because my back hurt pretty bad.
I got up and used the bathroom. From there the back pain kept on getting worse.
I decided I'd wait to see if theyd keep coming before calling my mom.
By 2:30 the pain was unbearable and just down right horrible. I woke up OH and called my mom. Itold her to come pick me up immediatley. I was in so much pain I was almost crying.
These were many contractions. They hurt my stomach but what really felt it was my back!
We got.to the hospital around 2:46 and many cervix was checked.
I was 4 cm. They put monitors on me and watched my contractions. They were soooo strong.
Well they were very busy because two woman were in the pushing stage w when i got there. I was given morphine for the pain which actually did the job pretty well. I was able to get some rest. It was already about 4 a.m.
At about 7 i was checked again. I was still 4
They said I shouldnt expect him to be here for awhile.
Well they came in and broke my waters. Let me tell you that made my pain a million times.worse! and at abiut 1230 I was begging for an epidural. The anesthesiologist (?) Was sooo awesome. He was like this big russian guy but he was such a teddy bear haha. He was so sweet and supportive
Well I got the epidural. It felt better for about five minutes then I felt total pain. It numbed me from my knees down only. They kept putting in more and more medocine then he said that he couldn't give me any more :\
It did make the contractions ease a bit but definatley still painful.
Well thw doctors came in and checked me abd in about 5 minutes i went from a 4 to a 6. I was in so much pain I was crying and screaming almost. The doctors didn't know why it hurt so bad!
About 10 minutes later they check me again and said i was at 8. Then.10 minutes later I was 10! It was time to push! At this point there were about 12 people in my.room who i didn't even notice. Also Noah had pood in the water so there were a bunch of baby doctors too.
Everything just went all blurry. The doctor said "Okay sweety its time to push" i told her no and started crying lol.
I said no I'm scared!
Honestly hearing those words made the pain almost stop.
Well I started pushing and honestly actually pushing hin out was almost fun compared to my back.labor pains.
I pushed for about 10 minutes and then he just shot out. Like a bullet. Hw just shot out of there! The doctor caught him and then a hufe gush of yellow waters juat came flying out.
They took hin straight to the warmer and checked hin out.
I got atitched up and that was it!
Can I just say that seeing your baby for the first time is the..weirdest.. feeling in the world.
Its happy and scary and tingly and just so weird at the same time.
It was amazing seeing him.
Also. When I heard "its time to push", i started crying because I could see the day I foubd out that I was pregnant. Like I was living it. The first tine I heard his heart beat. First uktrasound. When I found out I'd have a boy. When I got my 3D scan. Every moment since I got pregnant and to finally hear "it's time to push ".. whoa!
Well baby noah was born at 1:41 pm. He was 8 lbs 12 oz. 21 1\2 inches long. His shoulder got stuck but other than that a pretty perfect delivery.
We just brought him home.last night.
I love him so much abd he was worth every second of pain.
