Yesterday I went in for my induction at 38 weeks due to GD and my little angel was born at 8:19pm last night.![Cloud 9 :cloud9: :cloud9:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/cloud9.gif)

I went in at 6am and got in a room and had my Iv started. By 7am i was given the pit and the Dr came in and broke my water about 8am. I started to feel contractions but they werent any worse than my period pains were. The nurse came into the room to check on me and was surprised i wasnt in more pain she said my contraction were strong. she upped my pit and at about 1pm they were painful and almost back to back so i asked for an epi and it was great!!! shortly after though her heart rate stated to act funny and i had to go on oxygen and roll onto my sides for a while but she recovered nicely.
After a few hours I started to feel my contractions in my right side. i told my nurse and she called the guy back in to top it off but it just made my left side dead and i still felt it on my right. it turned out to be a blessing as shortly after i started pushing and the machine was having a hard time picking up my contractions and i had to tell them i was having one. I pushed for an hour and 15 minutes narrowly escaping a vacuum delivery as her heart rate was dropping again. I have a slight first degree tear with just a couple stitches. She weighs 6lbs 13oz and is 19 1/4 in long and already has all my friends and family wrapped around her finger
The hospital I'm at offers portraits to be taken in your postpartum room. They set up a little portable studio and take pictures. Theres no sitting fee and you dont have to buy anything but of course i had to![dohh :dohh: :dohh:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/doh.gif)
