Yesterday I started my weekly bio-physical profile due to hypertension and clotting problem. The ultrasound was fine, but the baby only had one acceleration during the NST.

I need to go back on Friday for another NST. Is it common to have a non-reactive test? I was only on the monitor for 20 minutes. I've heard the test can go on for an hour.

20 minutes isn't very long!

I had some that were 90 minutes. I often had to wait for the baby to wake up. I think my average was about 45 minutes.

Perhaps the baby was sleeping or being lazy. Try not to worry!

20 mins does sound short - they should keep you on it until the baby wakes up and they are happy with the accelerations. Usually a sweet / fizzy drink will help. I'm not allowed sugar due to gestational diabetes so have to wiggle around a bit to make the baby more active. Don't worry too much, babies have sleepy days too but make sure they let you go long enough next time - good luck! xxx

NST went fine today. My baby was in the mood to kick.

yay congrats girl!!! I start mine next week due to Single Umbilical Artery, I have never had one before, but I am glad yours went well!!!

Today's test was non-reactive too. This is going to be a looooong rest of the pregnancy.
